Breast Cancer Awareness Month

When a person is diagnosed with breast cancer, their life and the lives of their friends, families, and loved ones are forever changed. Through your support, you can let those affected by the disease know they’re not alone.

Now through the end of October, support breast cancer research at the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota and care at M Health Fairview—and double your impact up to $5,000, thanks to a matching gift from the Minnesota Breast Cancer Coalition. Your gifts will fuel innovative research, early cancer detection programs, and compassionate, lifesaving care.

Every contribution helps us make more tomorrows possible, today, for people facing breast cancer.

Katie's Story

Early last year, Katie and Ryan Deutsch were joyfully busy living life with their two little kids. Everything changed when Katie found out she had breast cancer. She recalls the immediate flood of emotions: “... jarring, infuriating, devastating, and terrifying.”

Katie turned to the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota and M Health Fairview for guidance. That’s where she met Damé Idossa, MD, an M Health Fairview oncologist and assistant professor of medicine at the U of M, whom Katie calls her “caring partner in this journey.”

See how Katie is doing today.
