Invitees to upcoming University of Minnesota Foundation (UMF) events may have questions or concerns about how COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) is impacting our event plans. At UMF, the safety of our University donors, faculty, staff, students, and partners is our number one priority as we offer opportunities for you to connect with the University.
Which events have been canceled so far?
In alignment with the University's summer events and programs outline, UMF-hosted events through the last week of June are canceled or postponed. Given the uncertainty resulting from this public health emergency, the University will evaluate July events in approximately mid-May.
Will events be rescheduled?
We are evaluating rescheduling canceled events on a case-by-case basis and in accordance with evolving guidelines. If your event is rescheduled for a future date, you will be notified via email with an updated invitation, including the new date and time.
How are decisions about cancellations being made?
UMF is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic. Our leadership team is meeting regularly to make decisions about events and operations that maximize the safety and health of our staff and community. We will continue to act in accordance with University guidance.
How will I know if my event is canceled?
If a particular event or set of events needs to be canceled, all invited guests will be notified as quickly as possible via email. If you have not heard from us and have questions about a particular event, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
