Honorary chairs/advisory committee

As honorary cochairs of WineFest No. 22, we are incredibly proud to have the opportunity to give back to University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital.  WineFest is about celebrating children’s health and supporting the incredible advances being made every day at University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital.  We have enjoyed WineFest for many years, and it has always been a special event to us.  As our family was blessed with children, WineFest has come to mean even more to us than we could ever have imagined.  When our youngest child, Summer, was two months old, we unexpectedly found ourselves in the emergency room at Masonic Children’s Hospital.  Summer’s doctors informed us that she needed a heart transplant.  Words can’t describe our emotions and the frightening unknowns our young family faced.  From the moment we arrived, we found comfort knowing we were in the hands of such capable and caring doctors.  Summer’s best chance at survival meant she would receive a Berlin Heart, a unique and cutting-edge device that saved her life and allowed her surgeons time to await the perfect heart.  This option was only available due to the University being among a select few hospitals in the U.S. allowed to implant and study the device.  Our daughter successfully went on to receive the milestone 800th heart transplant at the University of Minnesota.  We are happy to report that today she is a thriving example of the miracles made possible at this hospital.  University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital continues to write similar and groundbreaking stories, one child at a time.

For 22 years, WineFest has raised more than $13 million and provided crucial pediatric research funding to University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital, specifically to support the research careers of promising junior faculty who develop breakthrough treatments and cures for children everywhere.  We are committed to infuse the passion we observed from the hospital doctors and staff and spread the word about the best wine event in the Twin Cities, and in turn, raise awareness and funds that support University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital.  It is through those funds raised that we will continue to advance children’s health research, education and care.

WineFest is the most celebrated and anticipated charity food and wine event throughout the Midwest.  During WineFest No. 22, May 12-13, we will highlight the next generation in wine families and the industry. Festivities will include gourmet fare, distinctive wine tastings, incredible live and silent auctions, mystery wine bags, and more!

We invite you to join our commitment and support of WineFest No. 22. This event acts as the perfect showcase for your business by providing stellar brand exposure, helping you to reach an established following of current and future business and community leader, and aligning your organization with a very worthy cause.  Your sponsorship makes a difference. It is our privilege to be a part of such a wonderful event, and we are extremely excited to serve as honorary chairs for WineFest No. 22.  With your support, we will give children more days to play, nights to dream, and time to be kids.
