Bentson Scholarship Challenge details

What types of students will benefit from the Bentson Scholarship Challenge?
Awards will benefit only Pell-eligible students enrolled full time in freshman-admitting, undergraduate degree–granting units throughout the University of Minnesota system. If students’ Pell eligibility changes after they receive a scholarship, their awards through the Bentson Challenge program will continue. Recipients are not required to maintain a minimum GPA but are expected to make satisfactory academic progress.

Bentson Scholarship Challenge

Accept a Challenge. Change a life.

Through the Bentson Scholarship Challenge, you can change lives while helping to reverse an alarming national trend: lower rates of admission, retention, and graduation for students with the greatest financial need.

For a growing number of families, the price of a college education has outpaced what they can afford. Scholarships offered through the Bentson Challenge meet students’ financial needs and follow them throughout their four-year undergraduate journeys.
