Three reasons to share your gift plans

Peace of mind. Sharing your estate gift plans with the University of Minnesota ensures that your gift will be used exactly as you wish. We can provide information and sample language to help you and your advisor carry out your intentions.

You can use our estate gift form to designate your gift for a specific college, campus, or program within the University of Minnesota or M Health Fairview. Not sure how you would like your gift used? University development staff can help you identify areas that align with your interests and passions.

No obligations. Sharing your gift plan with the University does not make it binding or irrevocable. You still have the flexibility to revise your estate plan at any time.

Recognition. When the University is aware of your gift, it allows us to express our gratitude during your lifetime. It also qualifies you for membership in the University of Minnesota Heritage Society, where the shared values of advancing education and improving lives in Minnesota and beyond through philanthropy are celebrated.

To inform us about your gift, please contact the U of M Foundation gift planning staff or visit z.umn.edu/estategift.
